Big Dog Competitions & Giveaways LTD (“Promoter”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates competitions via its website (the “Website”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all competitions (“Competition(s)”) promoted and operated by us.
1. Qualifying Persons
1.1 Competitions are open to persons aged 18 or over who are residents of Great Britain only.
1.2 Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
1.3 The Promoter reserves the right to close, suspend or terminate any account where it reasonably believes:
- The Customer is abusing the services
- Acting abusively toward staff or other Customers
- Operating multiple accounts
- Not genuinely entering in their own name
1.4 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any Entry at its sole discretion.
1.5 Entrants must enter using their real name. The name must match official identification. Initials are acceptable. Use of false details may invalidate a claim.
1.6 Only one account per person is permitted. Use of multiple accounts may result in account removal and disqualification.
1.7 Entry and participation are strictly prohibited whilst physically located outside Great Britain.
2. Legal Undertaking
2.1 By entering a Competition, you confirm that:
- You are legally capable of entering
- You have read and understood these Terms
- You agree to be bound by them
2.2 These Terms are governed by English law. The Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
2.3 It is your responsibility to ensure participation is lawful in your jurisdiction. The Promoter accepts no liability for unlawful entry.
3. Competition Entry
3.1 Competitions are entered via the Website. Multiple Competitions may operate simultaneously.
3.2 Pricing, ticket availability and entry limits are stated on each Competition page and are at the Promoter’s discretion.
3.3 There is always a free entry route available (see Section 13).
3.4 To enter, you must register an account with a valid email address.
3.5 An Entry is only valid once:
- Payment has cleared (if paid entry)
- Confirmation appears within your account
No refunds or credits are provided except where required by law.
3.6 The Promoter may disqualify incomplete or invalid Entries.
3.7 Unless otherwise stated, a maximum of 10 Entries per person per Competition applies. Some Competitions may permit more.
3.8 Each Competition closes when:
- All numbers are taken
- The countdown timer expires
3.9 Up to 30 tickets beyond the stated maximum may be permitted due to checkout timing delays. Any tickets beyond this 30-ticket overflow will be refunded or credited. Oversell totals will be donated annually to a chosen charity.
3.10 All Entries, including free Entries, are treated equally.
4. Promotion Period
Each Competition runs for the period specified on its webpage (“Promotion Period”).
5. Winner Selection
5.1 Winners are selected using:
- Random Number Generator
- A ball machine
- Another verifiable random selection method
5.2 Draws are live streamed on Facebook and uploaded to the Website within 48 hours.
5.3 Unless stated otherwise, there is one Winner per Competition.
5.4 Winners are contacted using the details provided. It is your responsibility to ensure details are accurate.
5.5 If a Winner cannot be contacted within 28 days or fails to comply with verification requirements, the Prize may be forfeited.
5.6 If a Competition closes early, the Winner will be selected from valid Entries received prior to closure.
6. Winner Verification
6.1 Winners must provide:
- Proof of age (18+)
- Proof of identity (passport or driving licence)
- Proof of address if requested
- Proof of payment method ownership
6.2 Failure to provide satisfactory documentation may result in disqualification.
6.3 The Promoter reserves the right to conduct fraud checks before awarding a Prize.
7. Prizes
7.1 Prizes are owned by the Promoter until delivered to the Winner.
7.2 No insurance is provided after delivery.
7.3 Delivery within Great Britain is free. Delivery outside Great Britain may incur charges.
7.4 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be substituted.
7.5 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the Prize after delivery.
7.6 Instant Win prizes may be added at the Promoter’s discretion.
8. Storage
8.1 Prizes may be stored free for up to 30 days after notification.
8.2 Storage beyond 30 days will incur costs payable by the Winner before delivery.
9. Winners’ Personal Data
9.1 By entering a Competition, you acknowledge that your username, entry details, ticket number, and the outcome of the Competition may be published on the Website or social media platforms for transparency purposes.
9.2 Subject to consent where required by law, Winners may be asked to participate in photographs or videos for marketing purposes.
9.3 Winners may be required to provide documents to verify identity in line with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. Failure to provide such documentation may prevent the prize being transferred.
9.4 Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
9.5 The Promoter may withhold a Prize where AML, fraud, or verification checks are not satisfactorily completed.
10. Limits of Liability
10.1 Except for death, personal injury, fraud, or statutory rights, liability is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10.2 Maximum liability to a Winner is limited to the value of the Prize won.
10.3 Maximum liability to a non-Winner is limited to entry fees paid in the previous 12 months.
11. Electronic Communications
The Promoter is not responsible for:
- Technical failures
- Transmission errors
- System outages
- Third-party gateway issues
In the event of system error, the Promoter may reclaim incorrectly awarded Prizes.
12. Data Protection
Personal data may be shared where necessary with:
- Payment providers
- Fraud prevention agencies
- Professional advisers
- Regulatory authorities
Data may be transferred outside the UK with appropriate safeguards.
13. Free Entry Method
13.1 You must first create an online account.

- Phone number
- Competition name
- Ticket number (if applicable)
13.3 One entry per envelope.
13.4 First or second-class postage must be paid.
13.5 Free entries are processed on the day received.
13.6 If a Competition sells out before your entry is processed, it may be transferred to another Competition or issued as site credit.
13.7 Free Entries are treated exactly the same as paid Entries.
14. Validation
The Promoter reserves the right to:
- Withhold a Prize pending verification
- Refuse payment where fraud is suspected
- Require additional documentation
- Award a Prize to an authorised representative with legal authority
15. Your Account
You must:
- Keep login details secure
- Not share access
- Notify us immediately of unauthorised use
The Promoter is not liable for misuse of your account.
16. Changes
We may amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance.
17. Chargebacks & Expired Cards
17.1 Accounts may be suspended where chargebacks occur.
17.2 Reasonable efforts will be made to return funds to expiring cards.
18. Website Use
You must not:
- Misuse the Website
- Upload harmful material
- Attempt hacking or interference
- Infringe intellectual property
All Website intellectual property belongs to the Promoter.
19. Discretion
All decisions of the Promoter are final.
20. General
- Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver
- If a clause is unenforceable, the remainder remains valid
- You may not assign your rights. The Promoter may assign its rights
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement
- Third parties have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999
- The Promoter is not liable for force majeure events
